Yesterday, we celebrated Luxembourg’s National Day!

It was a spectacular, nationwide celebration of the Grand Duke’s official birthday! Did you know it’s not actually his birthday? The tradition dates back to the 19th century and has evolved into a grand national celebration.

It was very special this year, as Grand Duke Henri has paved the way for his abdication with a surprise announcement in which he declared that he will hand over the lieutenancy to Prince Guillaume in October.
